Who we are

Motmot is a small, independent travel guide about nature and birdwatching in the Caribbean and Latin America, written for UK travellers. A motmot is a bright, long-tailed bird of tropical forests - Trinidad and Tobago has its own.

A UK tour operator called Mot Mot Travel used this web address until about 2022. We are not that company, we are not connected to it, and we cannot help with old bookings.

How we write

We use official and scientific sources (national parks, tourism boards, BirdLife International, UNESCO, GOV.UK) and list them under every guide. We leave out prices and opening times that change often. If something is wrong, please tell us via the contact page.
